Board of Investment (BOI) organized Pakistan – Italy Investment and Trade Forum   in collaboration with Italian Embassy in Pakistan on 6TH December, 2016 at Serena Hotel, Islamabad during the visit of H.E. Mr. Ivan Scalfarotto, Italian Deputy Minister for Economic Development. A delegation of fifty (50) prominent Italian businessmen belonging to Infrastructure and construction, renewable energy, mechanics for agriculture and food processing, mechanics for textile and leather, and mechanics for marble and stones accompanied him.

Mr. Thierry Pflimlin, Chairman, France – Pakistan Business Council of MEDEF (French Business Confederation) International visited Islamabad and Karachi from 4 – 7th April, 2017.

Enabling business environment plays a pivotal role in attracting domestic and foreign investment. The concept of Ease of Doing Business has gained unprecedented importance in the recent past. The Doing Business Index, started in 2003, basically measures how easy or difficult it is for a local entrepreneur to open and run a business when complying with relevant regulations. Pakistan started DB Reforms process in 2016.
