Incentives of Gwadar Free Trade Zone
100% equity is allowed to foreign investors in the Gwadar Free Trade Zones as is allowed throughout Pakistan as per the Investment Policy of Pakistan 2013, except for investment in certain sectors including airline, banking, agriculture and media.
Incentives of Special Economic Zones
The zone developer is allowed one-time exemption from all custom-duties and taxes on capital goods imported into Pakistan except the items listed under Chapter 87 of the Pakistan Customs Tariff, for the setting up of an SEZ subject to verification by the BOI.

Visit of Fortescue Metals Group Limited
Islamabad: A delegation of Fortescue Metals Group Limited, headed by Mr. Andrew Forrest, the Chairman of the Group, visited Board of Investment (BOI) today. The meeting was chaired by Advisor to the Prime Minister on Commerce and Investment, Mr. Abdul Razak Dawood, and attended by Chairman BOI, Mr. Atif R. Bokhari, Secretary BOI, Ms. Fareena Mazhar, and the team of BOI.
Launch of 6th Reforms Action Plan and Investment Promotion Strategy 2020-2023
Board of Investment (BOI), Islamabad in collaboration with World Bank, International Finance Corporation and Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the United Kingdom organized a seminar on “Doing Business Reforms in Pakistan” and launched “6th Ease of Doing Business Reform Action Plan’’ and BOI’s “Investment Promotion Strategy 2020- 2023” on 27th August, 2020. Presentations were given by BOI highlighting reforms planned for 6th reforms cycle for DB report 2022 and for the new Investment Promotion Strategy.

Incentives of Export Processing Zones
The investors are allowed duty-free import of machinery, equipment and materials and freedom from national import regulations., in addition facilities are also available such as one window operation, utilities etc.
