Peshawar - A total of 44 MoUs worth $8 billion have been signed for investment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at investment conference in Dubai on the sidelines of Dubai Expo 2020.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Finance Taimur Khan Jhagra was the  chief guest while Additional Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah, provincial minister Shaukat Yousafzai, Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Trade and Industries Abdul Karim Khan, Pakistan Ambassador to UAE Afzaal Mahmood, Secretary for Sports, Tourism, Archaeology, Culture, Museums and Youth Affairs Amir Sultan Tareen, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA) Director General Kamran Ahmad Afridi and others attended the conference.

Taimur Jhagra said that efforts are being made to boost tourism on pattern of UAE in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Secretary Tourism Amir Sultan Tareen, KPCTA DG Kamran Ahmad Afridi, DG Pakistan Trade Development Authority Rizwan Tariq, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Board of Investment and Trade (KP-BOIT) Chief Executive Officer Hassan Daud Butt and others briefed the investors about investment opportunities in various sectors in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The Chief Executive KP Economic Zone Development and Management Company (KPEZDMC), Javed Iqbal Khattak was also among the panel members to speak about investments in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the investors conference.

The CEO-KPEZDMC signed 11 MoUs out of the total 40-plus MoUs signed during the investment including a tripartite MoU was signed between PEDO, Infra Co Asia and KPEZDMC for solarisation of all economic zones in KP.
